Rationale
In a "knowledge age" where expertise, networks and learning are vital to cope with an increasingly fast changing and scrutinized environment, not-for-profit and public sector organisations face the double challenge of accessing adapted and affordable external expertise, and of taking ownership to embed it into organisational best practice. To strengthen performance and increase impact, externally focused "service departments" in the not-for-profit and public sectors rely on the ability of the more internally focused "support departments" (i.e. Finance, Information Technology, Legal, and Human Resources) to rapidly implement change strategies lead by senior management.
Often under-resourced to achieve the fast rate and wide scope of change envisaged, "support departments" are nowadays directly hit by growing pressure for accountability to supporters, tax payers and media who demand to see more investment on external engagements, and less on internal functionality.
While the corporate sector can afford expensive consulting services, or invest large amounts in centralising their support services to boost productivity, the not-for-profit and public sectors have to find more affordable alternative to access the relevant expertise they need to enhance their collective competences and be supported in the projects they wish to implement.
Intention
It only takes a few minutes of research to realise that most external professional consultancies are primarily geared, trained, and priced to serve the well-resourced corporate sector. With the SENSE PROGRAMMES, Aspiral Learning international creatively responds to the needs the not-for-profit and public sectors have for reasonably priced hands on consulting expertise and continual professional development.Download and print this information
