Organisational Learning Audit
The Learning audit is an integrated and transparent process mixing external, self- and peer-assessment based on dialogue and co-operative inquiry. The objective of the audit is to ensure that the future development of tailor-made training activities or the sourcing of off-the-shelf courses address existing problems, are tailored to the strategic plan and operational objectives, foster organisational learning, encourage behavioural change and are delivered in an effective and cost-efficient manner.Through this process we identify, analyse and report on:
- the alignment between the mission, vision, strategic objectives, collective values, governance, and management of the organisation and the expressed and hidden expectations, the behaviours, and the capabilities of its people
- the alignment between staff competencies/skills and job requirements
- the way structures and processes in the Human Resources function support organisational, departmental, and line management objectives
- the organisation's capacity for learning (processes, culture and climate)
Tailor-made Courses
When an organisation has a staff development plan, our consulting team seeks to understand the recommendations and guidelines of this plan to ensure that future training activities are fully integrated. When such a plan does not exist, we recommend that the client conducts a proper Learning Audit to inform the training needs assessment and achieve full clarity about the training brief.Capacity - Our capacity to create custom-designed training builds on our experience in participative facilitation, learning design, experiential training and work-based/self-managed learning materials. Depending on the identified needs our consulting team can design experiential workshops, short courses or programmes (with possible internet-based components) which are initially delivered face-to-face. Once the pilot is completed to satisfaction, the consulting team trains and hands-over the delivery and operation of the new training to the HR team of our client.
Method - First, the consulting team forms a small co-operative project group of directly interested parties, always including a member of the management team. As a group, they engage with various organisational stakeholders in cycles of work in order to research and fully understand the current training needs and objectives, custom-design training activities, and deliver and refine these activities before handing over future delivery to the client.
Content - We have so far designed and delivered inspiring and experiential trainings such as:
- Induction programmes
- Skill-share workshops
- Gender and diversity workshops
- Project management courses
- Stakeholder dialogue
- HRD Workshops
- In preparation - frame for a "campaigning course"
